ARTIST STATEMENT

 As a performing artist, embodying a character and bringing a story to life through movement is thrilling. As a mover, I tease the outer rim of comfort by generating movements that require total physical expansion, incorporating delicate quirks, and traveling through never-ending pathways. Diving into the concert dance world with a background in commercial dance, I love mixing genres and employing multiple dynamics simultaneously. My choreography aims to tell stories that transport the audience through journeys. I gather inspiration from large world concepts that feel too daunting or sensitive to address with words; putting them into movement makes it more malleable for myself, the dancers, and the audience.
